ITINERARY

Day 1, Saturday, September 10, 2011
Arrival Day. Rendezvous at 6:00pm at the Gotthard Hotel in Lech Austria. Introductions, instructions, orientation, followed by a get acquainted dinner.

Day 2, Sunday, September 11, 2011
STEFFISALPE TO OBERLECH  4 hours. Take the local bus to Warth 4900' and ascend 1500'on the Steffisalpe mountain lift to 6400'. Hike around the Wartherhorn to Burstegg 5700'. Hike up to 6000' and on to the Auenfeld ridge 5600' then to Tannegg 5900'– Gaisbuhelalpe 5800' and down to Oberlech 5200'. Then we can take the cable car down to Lech or for those who still want to hike some more descend an easy 500' on the trail to Lech. 4700 ft. Total ascents - 600' ;  total descents  - 1800'.  Easy to moderate day.

Day 3, Monday, September 12, 2011
OBERLECH- LAKE BUTZENSEE TO OBERLECH.  4 _ hours. Take lift or bus to Oberlech. 5200'.  Hike from Oberlech over the Krieger ridge 6800'and Butzen ridge 7200' to Lake Butzensee 7000' and then back to Lech via the Mohnenfluh ridge 7600'. total ascents – 2600'. total descents – 2000'. Moderate day

Day 4, Tuesday, Sept 13, 2011
LECH – WOSTER RIDGE – STUTTGARTER CABIN – ZURS.  5 _ hours. From Stubenbach 4700' we hike through the Wostertali up to the Wosteralpe at 7200'. Then hike on trail #645 over the Rauherkopf-Scharte to 7700' with a short detour to the Bochbach ridge and on to the Stuttgarter Cabin 7600'.We then hike down to Zurs 5700’ and take the hikers bus back to Lech. Total ascents – 3000'. total descents – 2000'. Moderate to strenuous. At the start of the day there is also a choice to take the mountain lift out of Lech up to 7800' thus avoiding the 3000' vertical climb.

Day 5, Wednesday, Sept 14, 2011
REST DAY WITH CHOICE OF A _ DAY HIKE.
This is a day off and there is a wide variety of activities for you to choose from some of which include visiting the nearby villages, shopping, using the many wonderful amenities of our Hotel or starting the day with a half day hike and then having the afternoon to do as you please.
LECH – GSTUTALPE – LAKE SPULLERSEE. 3 _ hours. Easy day. Hike from lech up to the Gstutalpe at 6000' and on to the Ravensburger Hutte at 6400'. Total ascents – 1800' no descent. It is also possible to take the hikers bus to Lake Spullersee and hike back to Lech and then it would be an all down day of 1800'.

Day 6, Thursday, September 15, 2011 
GEHRENGRAT (High Alpine Route). Lake Spullersee - Gehrengrat- FreiburgerCabin- Lake Forrmarinsee. 5 hours. Take the hikers bus to Lake Spullersee 6000'. Hike on trail 601 hike up 2000' to the high pass at the Gehrengrat 8000'; then down to the Freiburger Cabin at 6300'; and finally to Lake Formarinse 6200'.
Hikers Bus back to Lech. Moderate to Strenuous. Total ascent 2000'. Total descent 1700'

Day 7, Friday, September 16, 2011
OBERLECH – GOPPINGER – ALPELE. 5 _ hours. From Oberlech 5200', we will hike over the Kreiger Ridge 6700' to the Butzen Ridge 7200' then take the PraBler Weg – trail# 25 & 81 8400' to Goppinger Hutte 7400' then down to Alpele 5100'. Hikers Bus back to Lech. Total ascent 3200'. Total descent 3300'
Moderate to strenuous.

Day 8, Saturday, Sept 17, 2011
ZURS – MADLOCHJOCH – RAVENSBURGER CABIN
4 _ hours. We will take the hikers Bus to Zurs 5700' ascent to lake Zurs 7900'. Then over the Madlochhjoch 8000' and then down to the Ravensburger Cabin. 6400' Return to Lech on the Hikers Bus from Lake Spullersee. Moderate. Total ascent 2300'. Total descent 1600'.

Day 9, Sunday, September 18, 2011 
Trip ends after Breakfast.
