   Austrian Hiking Adventure: Hike Stubai Alps In Tyrol

neustiftWe'll have thirteen exciting days in the beautiful Stubai Valley in the Tyrol of Austria. The area is surrounded by magnificent alpine peaks. We will have 11 days of intermediate to advanced intermediate hiking with two days for optional excursions to Innsbruck. Our base will be Neustift a colorful Tyrolean village nestled at 3542 feet (993 meters) in a beautiful green alpine valley surrounded by spectacular 10,000 foot peaks and headed by the Stubai Glacier. Where we'll be staying at a delightful 3-star hotel perched on a hill with beautiful views of the Stubai valley. The hotel has cozy rooms with private baths, Tyrolean bar, formal dining room, living room, large sun porch and terrace. It also offers sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and gratis computer. The hotel will provide buffet breakfasts and 4-course dinners. We will hike up or down the valley using transportation when necessary, using only a day pack. The village offers dances and band concerts and a Tyrolean Folk music night not to be missed!

Outing Cost
The cost will be $1850.00 per participant

Payment Policy
A deposit of $850.00 is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance of $1000.00 is due no later than April 1, 2011.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel the trip at any time, the $85.00 ADK registration fee is non-refundable. The balance of the deposit is fully refundable up to April 1, 2011. After April 1, 2011, no refunds are possible unless your space can be filled from a waiting list. However, if ADK cancels the trip or if in the opinion of the leader, this trip is not for you, the full amount will be refunded.

Included in the cost will be:
  • All accommodations, double occupancy, private baths
  • Chartered bus travel from Innsbruck Airport to Neustift and return to Innsbruck Airport
  • Unlimited travel in the Stubai Valley for 11 days: bus, lifts (4), scenic train, Jeep Taxi
  • All buffet breakfasts and dinners, excluding dinner alcoholic beverages and coffee/tea
  • Tyrolean Folk Music Night
  • Hiking brochure of valley provided at hotel
  • Detailed equipment and clothing list
  • Travel tips
Not included in this cost will be:
  • Airfare – Note that Austrian Air has direct flight from JFK to Vienna and connecting flight to Innsbruck Austria
  • Lunches and snacks
  • Alcoholic beverages and dinner drinks other than plain water
  • Individual (non-group) excursions and additional lifts, bus, rail, taxis, or car rentals
  • Optional day trips to Innsbruck
  • Trip insurance
  • NOTE:  Allow roughly $200 to $300 per person for individual options
