3:00 - 5:00 pm. Open house, tour & boats available to try at Placid
Boatworks, Lake Placid. (See Things to Do)
6:00 p.m. Pizza Party, beverages included. Desserts provided by the
Hurricane Mountain Chapter. KOA
8:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Presentation: “Mike Prescott: Paddling the Northern
Forest Canoe Trail”, KOA

7:00-9:30 a.m.: Trips depart promptly from the main parking
lot at the KOA.

North Woods Chapter.
6:30 p.m.: Buffet Dinnner – KOA

REGISTRATION & INFORMATION
Fall Outing Headquarters will at the Lake Placid - Whiteface Mountain
KOA in Wilmington, NY. “This campground features spacious big-rig sites
with a separate tent area, lean-tos and Kabins overlooking the
trout-famous Ausable River. Mountain-hike from site or take advantage
of canoe and kayak rentals, fun-cycles, mini golf, hayrides, movies, a
game room, a playground, a snack bar and planned activities.” From Lake
Placid, it is approximately 9 miles on route 86, following signs to
“Whiteface Mountain”. Fox Farm Rd is about a mile past the Whiteface
Ski Area, on the right. (map on next page)
Registration Fee is
$25 per person and is non-refundable. Fee is waived
for youths 17 or younger when with an adult. Registration fee
to just attend the Dinner is $12. (Dinner reservation fee of $12 is
additional). The Friday night Pizza Party will be $6.
The Saturday Dinner will be held at the Lake Placid - Whiteface
Mountain KOA and the price is $12. The buffet menu will include mixed
green salad, pot roast or vegetarian lasagna, hot vegetables, scalloped
potatoes, rolls butter, cake, coffee, tea.
Box lunches need to be ordered in advance ($9) and may be picked up in
the morning at the KOA. They will be provided by Cedar Run Bakery and
Cafe in Keene.
