veteran leaders Shelley and Jack Finnegan and co-leader Gretchen Yealy
as we wend our way across England. From the
Irish Sea to the North Sea - May is the perfect month to go, as we will
see many wildflowers and ground-nesting birds. We’ll enjoy cool breezy
days. It’s lambing season and one of the greatest delights is watching
the curious little ones staring at us from behind their wooly mothers. Without a doubt, walking 192 miles takes a bit of persistence, but with our duffle bags moved for us each night, we will have to carry only a day pack. Hikers also have the option of riding in the van with the luggage on any day. Each night our bed & breakfast or small inn will provide a welcome (if sometimes quirky!) respite, with a hot meal, private bath, and cozy bed. |
