I grew up going tent camping with my family at Rogers Rock in Lake George and North Lake in Haines Falls; we always hiked the area trails.  Life happened and I didn’t have time for the outdoors, but it was always in the back of my mind.  My first ADK Adventure trip was to Norway in 2000 and that was the beginning of my hiking life.  Since then I’ve hiked in Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy, and England; I love hiking in Europe among the mountains on day trips, staying at small inns or huts.  I also go kayak camping for 3-4 days every fall and in September 2009 I backpacked the entire Northville-Placid Trail with 2 friends.

 I’m a Mid-Hudson ADK co-leader of mid-week hikes in the Hudson Valley; we hike year round.  I’ve hiked in the White Mountains both summer and winter since my Norway trip and lead chapter hikes to the Whites in the summer.  I’ve been a co-leader for trips to Europe for 8-10 friends in the past and have led small groups on self-guided trips to Provence and the Dolomites.   I enjoy showing people the outdoors and seeing their enthusiasm so my next step was to become an Adventure Travel Leader.
