 I am a member of the North Woods chapter and former Director for the Laurentian chapter of ADK. I live in Saranac Lake,NY. I was a high school Art teacher and also an Adjunct Professor at St. Lawrence University, in Canton, NY. My outdoor experience includes leading numerous chapter outings, trips for several ADK Fall Outings, 17 of the 46 High Peaks, trail work projects, some extended back-packing trips in Colorado and Utah, and I’m a volunteer fire tower interpreter on Azure Mountain. I’ve gone on two previous ADK outings: the Boundary Waters Canoe Trip in 2002 and the Olympic Park Trip in 2004. Not only did I have a great time, but I also had plenty of opportunities to learn about all the things a good trip leader needs to do. So far I've led 2 ADK hiking trips to Glacier National Park and have a 3rd one listed for 2011. When I’m not hiking, paddling, or cross-country skiing, I am an active, exhibiting artist, producing Adirondack wilderness landscapes in oils and watercolors.
